Scholarships in your home state
Your high school guidance counselor has information about the state-supported scholarships that will help to cover costs for you. In Florida, the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship is offered. In South Carolina, these programs are offered: Palmetto, LIFE, HOPE. In North Carolina, these are available: NC Education Lottery Scholarship, UNC Campus Scholarship, UNC Need-Based Grant. Check with your guidance counselor to see which ones might apply to your situation.
FAFSA
FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. To be considered for ANY FINANCIAL AID (including the Sunshine Opportunity Scholarships), you must complete a FAFSA application.
